Bongo Bolero

After a flirtation with experimental circus theatre in the early 1990's, Nikki Andrews and Richard Durnford founded Bongo Bolero in order to perform the kind of thing they liked to see.

After a busking tour of Japan and Australia and a spell in France's premier circus school, specialising in acrobatics, they relocated to Bristol and begun teaching at Circomedia and at the Belfast Community Circus. They went on to perform professionally in cabarets all over the UK and in the corporate sector and collaborated on big shows with NoFit State Circus, Circus Space and Cirque Bijou amongst others. They are particularly proud that they have made an audience wet themselves laughing (it has honestly happened) with their Penny and Bernie Show and brought people to tears with their Adagio Statues. Their new shows continue to reflect their desire to perform shows of excellence that are accessible, skilful and fun.
