The Saint Melonians are a Cardiff based street band that play comedy calypso with skiffle instruments.
They are comprised of the inimitable Count McCash, Calypso legend Barry Fellaponty and theatrical impresario McSquared. These characters are played by:
Rob Nichols: Rob is a songwriter and multi instrumentalist and has played across the UK at Festivals such as Glastonbury and Boomtown with his band Junior Bill and has been played on 6Music and BBC Wales. He drives the bands car affectionately named the Soca Bus.
Luke Owen: Luke is a vocalist, percussionist and guitarist who also plays with Junior Bill and rap comedy duo Barry and Jeff. He has a voice like honey and a pet turtle called Desmond.
George Nichols: George is a theatre director and street performer who has worked across the UK at venues such as The Citizens Glasgow and Shakespeare’s Globe.
