Makendoo

Makendoo run painting and making workshops for children, adding colour, creativity and an instant carnival atmosphere to any event.

Makendoo is led by Katy English and Gabrielle Bradshaw who studied at Camberwell School of Art, both leaving with a degree in Fine Art Sculpture.

On leaving college Gabrielle landed a job co-presenting the BBC 1 art programme "Hartbeat’ with Tony Hart, and has since worked on children’s and arts programmes across all channels. Katy continued her work as a Sculptor setting up her own studios in South London. Working in plaster, resin and concrete, her sculptures were well suited to gardens and she received many commissions for site specific work. One of her sculptures made up the centre piece to a garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Gabrielle and Katy formed Makendoo in 1992 to encourage children of all ages to develop their creative skills.
