Featuring an array of wooden circus props including stilts, juggling balls, clubs, diabolos, as well as peacock feathers for balancing and fabric scarves for juggling, this is a hugely entertaining workshop led by a highly-skilled tutor.
Dressed in authentic Victorian attire, Mr Barnard knows just about all there is to know about circus tricks and games, and can give an illustrated talk on the Victorian circus, if requested.
This workshop can be entirely Victorian, or a mix of period and modern equipment, and is perfect for bringing winter events to life with a Dickensian feel. The volunteers will be lining up! For even more spectacle, Mr Barnard’s show, Period Prestidigitation, can be booked alongside the workshop.
